SoloPro Driving School is an exciting autocross and performance driving school founded in 2009 and is proud of the talented instructor staff that has one goal: to extract each students full potential.

SoloPro instructors have a strong passion for driving a car at its limits, yet they have an even greater desire to help drivers of all skill levels reach their limits behind the wheel. Over the years the SoloProDriving School instructors have taught hundreds of novice drivers as well a long list of National Champions. They have taken everything they have learned over the years, as both competitors and instructors, and formulated an exciting, cutting-edge teaching process which potentially takes a driver from "back-marker" to "front-runner" in just two short weekends!

Each of our knowledgable instructors has years of experience and is certain to provide our students with an unparalleled learning experience.
Tim Aro
SoloPro Driving School Founder, Tim began autocrossing in 1994 and has over a decade of professional autocross teaching experience. Some of Tim's results include the 2011 SCCA Solo National Championship piloting a CSP Miata built by his brother Harry, a 2001 Pro Solo Class Championship, 2004 SCCA Solo National Championhip, recipient of the 2004 SCCA Solo Driver of the Year award, and has been runner-up more than a dozen times in Solo and Pro Solo National Championship competition. Tim has also competed in rallycross, road racing, endurance karting and motocross. Tim was the Gumout All-Star Challenge runner-up at the 2011 National Championships and 1st runner-up in CSP in both 2012 and 2013.
Eric Peterson
Eric is the reigning SCCA ES Solo National Champion, Pro Solo National Champion and dominated the 2014 season in ES with countless National, Divisional, and Regionals wins. Eric has over a decade of autocross teaching experience and a long list of impressive national results including: 2007 SCCA Pro Solo Class Runner-up, 2006 Arkansas Super Challenge winner, multi-time SCCA Solo Nationals trophy winner, and multiple National Tour, Pro Solo, Divisional and State Championships. Eric also has a long string of National Championship trophy finishes in a variety of different cars. Eric is not only a phenomenal instructor but a real talent behind the wheel.
Jonathan Roberts
Began autocrossing in late 1990's and has over 5 years of professional autocross teaching experience. Multi-time SCCA Pro Solo Class Champion and SCCA Solo Champion. Jonathan also has countless SCCA Pro Solo and National Tour wins over the years.
Reijo Silvennoinen
Began autocrossing in 1980 with nearly 2 decades of autocross teaching experience. 2007 SCCA Pro Solo and Solo National Champion, multi-time Canadian National Champion and an impressive 3rd place finish in A-Mod at the 2008 Solo Nationals. Reijo is a huge proponent of the sport in Canada as well as the United States.
Patrick Washburn
Began autocrossing in 1984 and began instructing in 1997 offering professional classes and private coaching sessions. Was runner-up in the extremely competitive 1998 Neon Challenge (some folks may remember the "cow" Neon) and has numerous trophies at the SCCA Solo Nationals. Pat also has countless SCCA National Tour, divisional, and regional wins and championships. Pat is one of the sports most enthusiastic supporters.
James Feinberg
Jim was one of the up-and-coming talents as evidenced by taking the 2011 SCCA HS National Championship and Gumout All-Star Challenge win. A real talent, Jim also was the 2008 DS Pro Solo Class Championship. Jim had over 20 SCCA Pro Solo and National Tour wins, numerous Divisional and State Championships, and a motorsports background rooted in karting and wheel-to-wheel racing. Jim presented himself with a soft-spoken, humble attitude which was only exceeded by his unparalled gifts for driving, teaching, and passion for living life to the fullest. Sadly, Jim passed away during the summer of 2014. Godspeed Jim - you are missed.
Neal Tovsen
Neal has been autocrossing since '97 and has been competing nationally for over 10 years. Starting with his first ProSolo class trophy in 2001, he has earned numerous national-level trophies, culminating in three consecutive 2nd place finishes at the SCCA Solo Nationals. Most recently, Neal over came challenging mechanical issues to finish an impressive 2nd in CSP at the 2014 Solo National Championships. After a decade as a highly-respected regional instructor, he started teaching professionally in 2008. A self-proclaimed techno-geek, Neal combines strong data analysis skills with a knack for adapting teaching techniques to each students individual needs. Neals' greatest thrill is to help SoloPro students go faster!
David Spratte
